Job Description: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Position Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential support to nursing staff and assists patients with daily living activities. This role is crucial in delivering compassionate care and ensuring patient comfort in various healthcare settings. Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care:
  • Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring:
  • Measure and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Report any significant changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff.
  • Assistance with Meals:
  • Support patients during meals, including feeding those who need assistance.
  • Ensure patients have access to adequate nutrition and hydration.
  • Patient Safety:
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Follow infection control protocols and assist in maintaining patient hygiene.
  • Documentation:
  • Accurately document patient care activities and observations in the medical records.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports as required by nursing staff.
  • Emotional Support:
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, promoting a positive atmosphere.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to understand their needs and concerns.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with nurses and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in training and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
  • Current CNA certification and CPR certification.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus. Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
